1.2.4 Purpose and Responsibilities of the Vice President for Student Affairs

A. Purpose

The following describes briefly the general duties and responsibilities of the Vice President for Student Affairs.

B. Duties/Responsibilities

The VPSA, within System policies and regulations and under the direction of the President, is responsible for management and administration of student services and programs including career services, judicial affairs, rec sports, residence life, student life and leadership, student money management, student services, and the veterans resource center. .

The VPSA is also responsible for intercollegiate athletics, campus police, dean of students, emergency management, scheduling and conference services and advising the President in student services, student life and University communications.

C. Review

This document shall be reviewed by the Vice President for Student Affairs every five years or as the organization or responsibilities change.
